James C. Goodman, 87 of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away Monday, May 26, 2014.
James was born March 17, 1927 in El Dorado, Kansas to Walter & Millie (Faunce) Goodman. He had been employed with New York Blower, LaPorte, Indiana, Clark Equipment, Buchanan, Michigan, and Kingsley Furniture, LaPorte, Indiana.
On February 15, 1948, James married Elizabeth E. Ordway who survives. Surviving with his wife are daughters, Sherrie (Keith) Beringer of North Liberty, Indiana, Debbie Miller of New Carlisle, Indiana, Brenda (Rich) Rodriguez of New Carlisle, Indiana, Bonnie (Jeff) Steele of New Carlisle, Indiana; grandchildren, Keith (Amy) Beringer, Tara (Jason) Hendren, Jerry (Jennifer) Beringer, Barney “Michael” (Laura) Harville, Stephanie (Mark) Satchwell, Trisha (J.B.) Tibbs, Joshua (Vanissa) Stoner, Adam Rodriguez, Nichole Rodriguez, & Brandon Rosenfeld; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ramona (Austin) Wright, Minnie Helms, Rosie (Marion) Moore; brothers, Johnny Goodman, & George (Audrey) Goodman. James was preceded in death by children, Jerry C. & Shirley Jane; a sister, Arvella Goodman; & a brother, Walter Goodman.
James was an avid Cubs fan, loved to fish, hunt, garden, roller skate and woodwork.
He was a member of the church.
