Mr. James Brown, son of the late Worth L. and Ida Mae Brown was born on April 3, I950. He departed this life at his home on August 8, 2023, in Conway, South Carolina.s attended Horry County Schools and was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States y. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army, James later worked as a houseman at the Breakers Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina until his health declined.
James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He also dedicated his love to his sisters, brothers, and other family and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, Worth L. and Ida Mae Brown; his brother, Worth Brown, Jr; his sister, Beulah Mae Reaves; his daughter, Tarolyn Jackson, and his grandson, Master Damion Jackson.
James leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, the love of his life Joyce Brown along with four children, David Hayden, Teenia Strickland, Angela (Anthony) Littles and Alyssa Brown; eleven grandchildren, Rashamail, Rashawn, Harrece, Juelz, Kaniyah, Kanyevion, Anthony, Keyan, Michael, Malik, and Chan; one great grandchild, Rashamail Bellamy, Jr; five loving sisters, Beatrice (Joe Frank) Graham of Fayetteville, NC, Jerline Allen of Conway, SC, Lucille Smith, Claudia Macon of Loris, SC and Ida Rose Bellamy of Tabor City, NC; four brothers, Willie (Patty) Brown, Charlie (Shannon) Brown, Randolph (Sylvia Jean) Brown and Rudolph Brown all of Loris, SC; six sisters-in-law, Mary (Albert) Mayes, Inez (Sam) Elam and Elouise Calloway all of Conway, SC, Sue Ann Woodbury, Delores Ann Woodbury of Baltimore, MD, and Carrie (Shelby) McCrae of Darlington, SC; four brothers-in-law, John Woodbury, Kenneth Woodbury, Willie “Bubba Jay” Woodbury all of Conway, SC and Jessie (Alice) Woodbury of Brooklyn, NY; two special neighbors and their spouses, Ivey Joe (Martha) Onley and Tiffany (David) Hayden of Conway, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
