James A. Welsh (Jim), age 70, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2023.
Born in McKeesport, PA, he was the Son of the late James and Mary (née Raible) Welsh and spouse of the late Joanne Welsh (née Fischer).
Jim lived his life caring deeply for those he loved, fighting for what he believed in, and instilling invaluable lessons on those he influenced. He was a natural teacher and coach to those around him. He was a dedicated spouse, caring father, loving friend, and treasured grandfather – better known as “Pap Pap.” Jim loved a round of golf, a game of poker, and lived his life surrounded by laughter and those he cherished most.
Jim was the loving father of Kate Costa (Chris), Jim Welsh (Heidi), and Melissa Shindledecker (Jason). He was the cherished grandfather of Kayla, Brandon, James, Emma, Jordan, Abigail, Landon, and Lucas. Great-Grandfather to Jason, Brooke, and Logan. He is also survived by his siblings, Peggy, Joan, Patty, Tim, Joe, Mary, Susan, Marty, Bob, Casey and their families.
