James Alfred Bell, 78, of Cromwell, beloved husband of Johanne (Lemonde) Bell passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 22nd. Born in Port Huron, MI on October 23, 1932, he was the son of the late Herman and Pauline (Anderson) Bell. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James A. Bell Jr., John A. Bell, and David A. Bell, all of MI, Herman Bell of CA, and Jonathan A. Bell of PA; his daughters, Jessie M. Bell-Mills and her husband, Michael, of MI and Carolyn A. Bell of MI; his brothers, Charles (Clintonia) of MI and Richard (Linda) of IL; his sisters, Katherine and Mildred of MI and a dear brother-in-law, Dr. Reginald Shelby of OH. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jerald Sr., Stephon (Erika), Tranise and Davon, and five great-grandchildren, Jerald Jr., Aidan, Alijah, Aiyana and Xavier. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Herman and a sister, Jessie.
