The son of the late Harvey Adams, Sr., and Jean Reed Adams, James was born December 7, 1947 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He passed from this life to life eternal in the arms of his true love at their Edmond residence on June 11, 2021.
A graduate of Ardmore High School, class of 1966, James attended Murray State College. He worked for Maupin Nursery in New Castle and retired from there as the plant manager. He and the former Mildred Ann “Millie” Scrivner were married August 30, 2002. She had a crush on him since they were seven. James gave his all to the very end, and he will be missed my many.
He is survived by his loving wife Mille, two sons, Kenny and Heath; stepson James Clark; grandchildren, Maggie, Dylan, Cooper, Matthew, Bode, Troy, Tristen, Trent, Travel, Nathan, Michaela, Dallas, Austin, Tyler, Colton and Kenzie. He is also survived by his brothers, Harvey Adams, Jr. and Cecil Adams and wife Karen; his sisters Sherry Christensen and husband Gordon and Martha Halford and husband Gary.
