James A. VandeWettering, age 79 of Burlington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday July 27, 2017. James was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and had been a resident of Burlington. He had worked as a truck driver for McCollister Transportation Services in Burlington for 25 years and, at home, was an avid nascar fan, loved the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia sports teams.
James is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Linda (nee Viereck) VandeWettering and is the father of; Debra, James, Joel & Eric VandeWettering, Kathy Leizear, Tim Murphy, Donna Gray, Jim Wallrath, Rhianna Quiles and the late Michael Murphy. He is the proud grandfather of; Nicole Woodsmall, Danielle Liffick, J.P. VandeWettering, Ashley, Kevin & Jay Jay VandeWettering, Alexis, Logan, Rylley, Coleman, Tatum & LilyAnne VandeWettering, Melissa Shoemaker. Nikki, Anthony, Vincent, David, Brian, Jennifer, Megan & Timmy Murphy, Joseph & Jennifer Gray, Josh Morris, Rin Qulies, the late Michael Giberson Jr. and great grandfather of; Alisha, Jayden, Serenity & Skylar Woodsmall, Macayla Giberson, David & Dalton Liffick, Laila Torres, Natalie, Marcus, Grayden Shettle, Spencer & Stoller Gray.
He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his sister RoseMary Byer.
