James “Jimmy” Alan Larson, 52, passed away in his sleep from natural causes on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on July 20, 1968 to Judith “Judy” M. Wells Larson and James “Jim” M. Larson. He graduated from Valley High School in 1986.
Jimmy leaves behind his mother, Judy Larson (Butch Manning); his father, Jim (Beth) Larson; his brother, Steven Larson; aunts, Helen Wells, Margaret Earthman and Janice (Joe) Packey; uncle, Patrick Wells; and Jimmy’s fiance, Lisa West; as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Abraham and Helen “Nellie” (O’Dowd) Wells; paternal grandparents, Marshall and Delephene (Plasket) Larson.
Jimmy previously worked at Ace Air Tools and was currently employed at The Body Parts Store.
Jimmy celebrated his graduation from high school with a trip to Hawaii with his mom, Butch and his brother. Jimmy and Steve came to Arizona to see the NASCAR races in 2006. Jimmy and Steve also enjoyed traveling with their dad and Beth to Cancun, Las Vegas, and Lake of the Ozarks as well as many fishing and hunting trips. He enjoyed concerts, NASCAR races, drag racing, Minnesota Vikings, gardening and cooking. Jimmy, Steve and Lisa also enjoyed hosting barbecues for family and friends.
Jimmy will be greatly missed, especially his contagious smile, his great sense of humor and bubbly personality. He was a tall oak that was steadfast and laughed at the storm.
