James A. Ferguson “Jimmy” was safe at home Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was a native of Harlingen, born August 29, 1940 to Samuel Wesson Ozel L. Ferguson. He attended Raymondville and Harlingen Schools graduating from Harlingen High Class of 1958. He was very active with PONY Baseball at the Optimist Ball Club as player agent for many years. Jimmy was a very intelligent and knowledgeable man, he knew a ton of history about the city of Harlingen, electrical compounds and automotive mechanics among many other things.
He is survived by his only brother, Charles Ferguson, two nephews and one niece.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Hazel Ferguson.
