James A. Hamrick, 71, of Clarksburg, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Elkins on April 11, 1939, son of the late Carl L. and Maude L. (Leary) Hamrick. Mr. Hamrick is a former employee of Alker Tire and Wholesale Tire both located in Clarksburg, WV. Mr. Hamrick was a member of the Upper Room Church, Clarksburg. Mr. Hamrick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda Shreve Hamrick, whom he married January 9, 1962; two sons, James M. Hamrick and wife Tena, Beckley, Richard E. Hamrick and wife Traci, Clarksburg; one daughter, Amy M. Stubblefield and husband Todd, Fairmont; four grandchildren, Samantha, Bryan, Christopher, and Sarah; one brother, Arnold Hamrick and wife Pat, Elkins; two sisters, Evelyn Shreve and husband Franklin, Clarksburg, Kittie Carr and husband Phil, Elkins; sister-in-laws, Inga Hamrick, Germany, Barbara Hamrick, Baltimore, MD; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Hamrick; three brothers, Richard L Hamrick, Cletus W. Hamrick, and Neil G. Hamrick and sister-in-law, Donna Hamrick.
