James A. Dyer Sr., Age 65 of Vanceburg, Ky. Passed away Thursday December 12, 2013 at 9:50 am at his home with his family by his side. James was born in Vanceburg, Ky. January 1, 1948 to the late Roscoe and Minnie Armstrong Dyer.
He was a self-employed carpenter in the community and did several handyman jobs throughout the county. James was a veteran of the United States Army in which he so proudly served.
Surviving is three daughters- Karen Savoie and Kimberly Dyer both of Vanceburg, Ky., Mrs. Jamie (Buddy) McDaniel of Wheelersburg, Ohio.
Two sisters- Bonnie Gillispie and Barbie Butler both of Indiana.
One brother- Orville Dyer of Vanceburg, Ky.
Seven grandchildren and 7-great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.
Preceded in death beside his parents was a son James A. Dyer Jr. 4-brothers- Roscoe Dyer Jr., Woodrow Dyer, Russell Dyer, and William Clifford Dyer. A great-granddaughter- Lesleah Jo Caseman.
