Jadwiga (Samojlik) Zywno-Gierlinski, 84, of New Britain, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor. Born in Poland, Jadwiga was the daughter of the late Jozef and Stefania (Bolkun) Samojlik and wife of the late Czeslaw Zywno and Henryk B. Gierlinski. She was a retiree of Fafnir Bearing Company. A compassionate person, Jadwiga was always giving to others. She loved music, dancing and water aerobics. She enjoyed gardening and found joy in the beauty of the rose garden at Walnut Hill Park. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. A woman of faith, Jadwiga was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. She is survived by her children, Stasia Gajewski, Cecelia Birritteri and her husband Joseph, Krystyna Zywno and her fiancé Roger Recck, Barbara LaGasse and her fiancé Chris Savulis; her grandchildren, Jim Gajewski and his fiancée Chrissy, Emanuel Birritteri and his fiancée Allison, Joseph C. Birritteri and his wife Jennese, Michael Birritteri, Tiffany Snyder and her husband, Dan and Amber LaGasse as well as her great grandchildren, Jim, Jr., Joey, Gianna, Sophia, Anthony, and Angelina. She is also survived by a brother, Stefan Bolkun and his wife Stanislawa and family in Poland.
