Jadah Blu Austin, 21, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Indianapolis.

She was born July 12, 2000, in Lafayette, to Artavus Ayo and Andrea Dawn (Lanoue) Austin.  Jadah was a 2019 graduate of McCutcheon High School and a Junior, studying Social Work at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

Jadah had a passion for horses that contributed to a rewarding 10 year 4-H career.  She also enjoyed creating ceramics and helping people.  She was very caring, kind, and compassionate, always putting others needs before her own.  Her family was so important to her and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her mother, Andrea (Travis Buttry) Austin; her father, Artavus (Jennifer) Austin, all of Lafayette; sister, Makarah Austin; step-sister, Brielle Shidler; step-brother, Garrett Shidler all of Lafayette; grandparents, Fred and Judy Lanoue of Remington; Nathaniel and Patricia Austin of Lafayette; step-grandparents, Michael and Susie Hart of Battle Ground; uncles, Kenny Lanoue of Remington, Tony (Kim) Lanoue of Lafayette, Steve Lanoue of Rensselaer, Brian (Kenlynn) Lanoue of Remington; and Patrick Kofi Austin of Lafayette; an aunt, RaeAnn (Todd) Nethercutt of Rensselaer; cousins, Kaleb, Nathan, Ethan, and Brayden Lanoue and Tyler and Ashley Nethercutt; and her pet Boston Terrier, Sophie.

She was preceded in death by her step-grandmother, Jeanne Hart; great-grandparents, Ray and Clara Lanoue and Ross and Frances Bufkin; great-grandmother, Mamie Sue Brown; and great special aunt, Erma Covington.
