Montpelier – Jacqueline Sue (Hersley) Crabtree, 64, passed away suddenly January 17, 2011, at Blackford County Hospital in Hartford City.
Jacqueline was born in Muncie on October 20, 1946, the daughter of Ralph E. and Maryellen Louise (Carter) Hersley, and was a 1964 graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Jacqueline worked for over ten years at Taylor University as a head cook in the Dinning Commons. She also worked for Marsh Supermarket in Hartford City for ten years, and was employed as a cook with Southside Elementary School in Hartford city. Jacqueline was a member of Muncie Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Post 231, and Montpelier American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #156.
Survivors include her fiancé, John T. Schnepp, Montpelier; four children, Kevin Osborn, (wife-Joyce), Monroe, Michigan, Terry Osborn, Kokomo, Robin Osborn, (companion-Doug Smith), Montpelier, and Troy Carter, Montpelier; three sisters, Sandy Hersley, (companion-Austin Hawkins), Marion, Dianna Dowham, New Whiteland, and Rebecca Ferguson, (husband-Ernest), Alexandria; a close friend, Sharon Zowd, (husband-Tony), Muncie; a step-brother; three step-sisters; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventeen years, Franklin D. Crabtree, and a step sister.
