Passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Age 88. Jacqueline was born in Grand Rapids on February 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Clifford S. and Beatrice (Bullock) Leedy. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and then attended Western Michigan University. She was employed as the Deputy City Clerk for the city of Portage, retiring in 1992 after twenty-three years of service.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She belonged to the Homemakers Extension of Michigan State University for forty years. She loved traveling and was a devoted volunteer of the Portage Senior Center and the Kalamazoo Airport. Most of all she was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and she took great care of her parents in their elderly years. She was married to Matthew F. Bielski on November 23, 1946, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1979.

Jacqueline is survived by five children, David (Jean) Bielski of Kalamazoo, Michael (Kim) Bielski of Vicksburg, Christine (Homer) Deming of Kalamazoo, Joan (Edward) Whitney of Sturgis and Penny (David) Hanfland of Fulton; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother and one sister, Stan (Van Jean) Leedy of Florida and Norma Proudfoot of Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Jean Leedy of Ohio and Jill Leedy of Jenison. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Leedy and Duane Leedy; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Proudfoot.
