Jacquelin “Jackie” Sangwin, age 85, of Milford, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at her home in Milford. She was born on September 17, 1929, in Calmer, Iowa, to John and Bertha (Letchenberg) Thuente.
Jackie graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School, and St. Catherine’s Hospital of Nursing, with a degree as a Registered Nurse. She was united in marriage to William Sangwin on February 3, 1951, in Algona. Jackie worked as a nurse in Algona and Cherokee for many years, before retiring. Jackie enjoyed spending her spare time knitting and playing cards. Her true passion in life was her family.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Susan Reuland, and her husband, Tom of Milford; three grandchildren, Emily and Tyler Reuland and Frances Sangwin; sister-in-law, Ruth Thuente of Des Moines; nieces, Kim, JoAnn and Lynn and nephew, Jerry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her son, John; sister, Esther; and brother, Jerry.
