Jacob P. Derrico, 87, of Hokendauqua, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2007 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Bache) for 54 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Biagio and Louisa (Cantelmi) Derrico. Jack was a Principal for the Whitehall/Coplay School District for 28 years until retiring in 1985. He served in the Army Air Corps in Panama during WWII. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua and was also a member of Whitehall Lions Club. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorothy at home; sons David and his wife Karen of Gainesville, Fla. and Jack and his wife Karen of Oakton, Va.; daughters Dotty VanStrander and her husband Terry of Lehighton, Karen Derrico of Whitehall and Gina Brokenshire and her husband Terry of Whitehall; sisters Eleanor Story and her husband Bernie, Louise DeRaimondo, Edith Flick; brothers Louis and his wife Rose and Eddie Derrico all of Bethlehem; 12 grandchildren.
