Jacob Killian Bullis, 41, of Lafayette, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, due to Covid.

He was born November 16, 1980, in Lafayette, Indiana to Timothy Bullis and the late Julie (Pavlovich) Davis.

Jake graduated from McCutcheon High School and almost immediately started his career at Caterpillar in Lafayette where he worked for over 20 years.

Known by many names – Jacob, Jake, Jay-Cup, Uncle Jake, Jake the Snake, Jacoby, Slim – he was the best son, big brother, and uncle.  Jake described himself as big, bald, tattooed, and pierced.  But really, he was a big teddy bear with a friendly face, a well-liked co-worker, a fun teammate, a mentor, and a loyal friend.  He had a heart of gold, he didn’t know a stranger, he could always make people laugh, and brighten anyone’s day.

Jake was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.  He also loved fishing, mushroom hunting, playing softball, cooking on the grill, and visiting Dauphin Island, AL.

Surviving are Jake’s father and stepmother Tim and Ginger Bullis of West Lafayette, his stepfather Jeff Davis of Lafayette, his sisters Britney (Ken Carter) Bullis of Lafayette and Heather (Aidan) Hubbard of West Lafayette, his niece Ruby, and his nephew Makai.  Also surviving are stepbrothers Bob Davis (and family), Steve Davis (and family), Danny Davis, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Jake also has a very special aunt Lexie Pavlovich of Brownsburg, she survives.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Julie Davis, his grandmother Mary Ann Pavlovich, and his grandparents Maynard and Ginny Bullis.
