Jacob H. “Jake” Cramer III, 74, of Virginia, IL passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Clairidge House in Kenosha, WI.
He was born October 28, 1942 in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Jacob H. Jr. and Mable (Black) Cramer.
He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Frederick of Covington, WA and Naomi Copes of Zion; 7 nieces and 4 nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; 17 great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Budwick; and a special niece, Lisa Frederick Turpin.
Jake served in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He was an electrician by trade for 28 years. He was also a certified scuba instructor, a certified skydiving instructor and a certified farrier. His hobbies included sky diving during his younger days and later in life, a broom maker, in which he crafted all aspects from growing the broom corn to traveling the country looking for wood to create beautiful hand crafted handles.
