Jaclyn Pezzulo, born December 17, 1957 passed over on Wednesday May 16, 2018 with her beloved family by her side after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, Jacob Bialy and Georgette (Paquette) Bialy and leaves her devoted husband Joe and children Jacob, Eliza and Robert (and dog Gloria). She also leaves her beloved siblings Wayne Bialy and his wife Linda Gilbert, Karen and Bill Naples, Georgia and Vic Camilleri; in-laws Janet and Steve Picano and Dan and Debra Pezzulo. Also nephews, Nick Pope and Sabrina, Jeff Naples, Matt and Krystal Pezzulo, Michael and Michelle Pezzulo and nieces, Evelena Picano and Savannah Pezzulo. Always present was her friend from sixth grade Sue Pinkham, who was a vital component in the “Babies” setback tournaments and many good times with Jackie’s beloved sisters.

Jackie would like to pass on to all women the importance of self-checking and trusting our powerful intuition. Insist on timely, appropriate tests if you have any signs of change, such as tiny lumps or back pain. She was very fortunate to be a 20 year breast cancer survivor, who cherished life to the very end.

She spent over 25 years as a respiratory therapist at the Hospital for Special Care, the last two in the “Best Job Ever” in Outpatient Pulmonary Rehab, learning countless useful strategies for her own illness. Her many friends, including those from the old RCU and St. Francis days were present to the end. She spent many happy days with Joe and their adventurous children, exploring the national parks in ways not covered in the guidebooks.

Jackie thoroughly enjoyed volunteering in Mrs. Carey’s 2nd grade class and would like to thank the office staff and her longtime friend, Debra Tuxbury, for her encouragement. Plainville’s school children are very fortunate to have such devoted staff.
