MONROE – Jacky Carson Perdue, 68, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at The Brian Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

Mr. Perdue was born April 27, 1947, in Boissevain Virginia son of the late Luther and Mary Louis Sweetcoff Perdue.

He served as a mechanic in the United States Marine Corps from June 1965 through April 1969 in Vietnam, where he was honorably discharged and having achieved the rank of Corporal.

Surviving are his daughter, Shannon “Christy” Gloyd and her spouse, Chris of Monroe; brother, Randy Joe Hill Mansfield; sisters, Linda J. Johnson of Mansfield, OH, Beverly Cross of Richfield, NC and Sharon Martin of Fort Gay, West Virginia; and granddaughters, Liberty Gloyd and Legacy Gloyd of Monroe, NC.

We will celebrate his life over lunch at his favorite place, The Village Grill at 1730 Dickerson Blvd., Ste J Monroe, NC 28110 on Sunday April 17th at 1:00 p.m. A small ceremony with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m., on the patio.
