He is a 1958 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Mr. Johnson retired as a Custodian from Ball State University in 2000 after 31 yrs.
Surviving are three sons, Johnny D. Johnson Sr., Matthew Johnson (companion-Tonya Owen) and William “Billy” J. Johnson all of Muncie; one daughter, Rhonda Miller (companion-Ron McClure), Anderson; six grandchildren, Johnny D. Johnson Jr., Rachele Langdon Wilson, Heather Miller, Casey R. Johnson, Heidi J. Miller, Annastasia M. Owen-Johnson; four great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis W. Johnson, Muncie; step mother, Opalmae Johnson, Muncie; one step sister, Barbara Dillon, Muncie; two care givers, Vickie Shopher and Larry Taylor both of Muncie
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Rae Johnson in 1963 and his parents.
