Jackie Ann Cosby Gann Freeland, passed away on November 24, 2014 at the home of her daughter. Jackie was born February 7, 1943 in Whitesburg, GA and was the daughter of the late Millard Lee and Annie Lizzie Brown Cosby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Byron Gann in 1991 and Thomas Lamar Freeland in June of this year. Jackie’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In all these roles she certainly excelled. She was a dedicated employee of Southern Bell for 32 years prior to her retirement.
Surviving are her children, Christopher Gann and his wife Melissa, Leigh Ann Gann and fiancé William Lallo and James Freeland and fiancé Leigh Whitmore. Her grandchildren are Shane Gann, Whitney Davis, Conner Gann, Joshua Spencer, William Lallo, Jr., Laura Bellamy and Billie Jo Gambrell. There are six great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Barbara Jean Cosby.
