Jack Wayne Wensel, 72, of 759 Jefferson St., Galesburg, died at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Marigold Health Care Center.
Jack was born on January 3, 1937 in Trenton, Missouri the son of Harold and Hazel Moss Wensel. He married Lois Jeanette Cotton on August 24, 1957 in Wyaconda, MO. Surviving Jack are his wife, Lois of Galesburg; 2 daughters, Jackie (Steve) Brownlee of Monmouth and Debbie Gemmell of Galesburg; 2 brothers, Harold (Carol) Wensel of Galesburg and Frank (Denise Haskovec) Wensel of Galesburg; and 2 sisters, Wilma Pacheco and Virginia Davis both of Galesburg. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Nicole Gemmell and Travis Collins and a great granddaughter, Addysn Jade.
Jack retired from Gale Products with over 30 years of service. He later worked at Naeir for several years. Jack loved to bowl and had been a volunteer fireman for the village of East Galesburg.
