Anderson Jack W. Bennett, 79, Anderson, passed away Saturday, November 7th, 2009 after a brief illness at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on May 23, 1930 in Madison County and resided in Anderson.
He retired from Anderson Community Schools after 39 years of service. He was a member of Memorial Circle Wesleyan Church in Anderson and he had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife; Mable York Bennett of Anderson. His children; Jackie Gilchrist , G. C. Geer, Rick, Cathy Geer, and Jeania Geer. Five grandsons; Jim GilchristAmber, Rob Geer, Ryan Geer, Connor Thompson, and Nick Thompson.
Three great grandchildren; Diamond, Eli, and Graham. Also surviving is brother; Gene Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents; Arnold and Hazel Eustler Bennett. A brother; Jimmy Bennett, and two sisters; Mary Dean Heater and Maxine McCain.
