Capt. Jack Verner Blough (USAF, Ret)

Jack Verner Blough, passed away March 26, 2014.

Jack was born June 15, 1930, to Verner and Cassie Blough of Mize, Mississippi.  Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force in July of 1947.  He attended the Officer Candidate School at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX from January to June 1956.  Jack continued to serve our country for 20 years before retiring as a United States Air Force Captain in June 1967.  Jack then went on to work for Teledyne-Ryan Aero Co., from July 1967 to March 1973.  He retired to the Escambia Farms community in Baker, FL, where he started in the hay business, then progressed to growing timber.

Jack was an active member in the Officers Candidate School, Class of 1956, as well as the Blackman Community Center, where he enjoyed his monthly get-togethers with all his wonderful neighbors and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Blough.

Jack is survived by his wife, Betty, of Baker, FL; sons, Brian Blough of Haslet, TX, and Richard Blough and wife, Belinda, of Midland, TX; and a granddaughter, Dani Guerrero, of Cedar Park, TX.
