Jack Verle Colvill, 85, Andeson, died October 1, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Chesterfield after an extended illness. He was born July 10, 1926 in Anderson, and lived in the area his entire life. Jack served with the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific.
He retired from Maco Beverage after 20 years of service. Jack was a member of American Legion #408, V.F.W. Post #266, Teamsters Local #135 and the Madison County Voiture #510 40 & 8.
Survivors include his sons, Robert E. Colvill Pam and Richard A. Colvill, both of Anderson; one granddaughter, Misty Colvill; five great grandchildren, Cory, Ashley, Travis, Zachary & Savannah; several nieces & nephews; and special friend, Ruth Buckley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Omer & Letty Badger Colvill; half brother, Claude Colvill; sister, Mary Ruth Robinson; and grandson, Sgt. Robert Colvill, Jr.
