Jack S. Wheeler, 82, Lake Wales, passed away August 28, 2009 at Lake Wales Medical Center-Florida after a sudden illness. He was born September 14, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio, and resided most of his life in Anderson. He was the owner/operator of Wheeler’s Sewing Machine Sales & Service in Anderson for many years after retiring from the US Navy, where he served proudly.
He is survived by his children, Cathy Gary Barr of Anderson and Thomas Marsha Wheeler of Anderson; former wife, Harriett Wheeler of Anderson; grandchildren, Jennifer Joe Korzekwa, Charlie Michelle Barr, Daniel Jessica Wheeler, Chad Andria Barr, Caryn Joshua Harvey, Joe Wendy Barr, Greg Barr, Courtney Jon Francke and Emily Scott Gartenman; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four nephews and special friends, Richard & Betty Crigler and many other close friends in Lake Wales, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransome Wheeler and Alma Rebennack Roudebush; daughter, Jane Ann Wheeler and brothers, Sam and Glen Wheeler.
