Jack R. Diehl, 82, of Quakertown, died peacefully in his home Wed. July 5, in the presence of family and entered the place prepared for him with his Lord. He was the loving husband of Esther (Houpt) Diehl for the past 60 years. Born in Perkasie, he was a son of the late Amandus and Lena (Vetter) Diehl. He worked as a truck driver delivering block for NyceCrete Concrete & Block Co., Lansdale for 25 years before retiring. Jack was an active member of Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church, Quakertown where he had served as a Sunday school teacher, trustee, youth leader, and on the campground committee. He was a former member of the Quakertown Christian School Board of Directors and was a member of the Teamsters local. Surviving with his wife are his sons; Dan (Monique), Rick (Mary), Mark (Linda); daughters, Wanda Goetz (Richard), Jackie Hoch (Art), Tammy Leatherman (Clyde), Donna Rice (Wayne), & Anita Souder (Brent); grandchildren, A. Jay, Jessica, Laura, Amy, Matthew, Aaron, Corey, Elijah, Jordan, Nicole, Jennifer, Curtis, Amanda, Zachary, Trevor, Kyle Evan, Anthony, Scott, Justine, Holly, Andrew, Paige, & Grant; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Keith, Amara, Jonathan, Seth, Ashlyn, Travis, Toby, Hannah, Tucker, Caleb, Noah, Luke, Levi, Katie, Jack, Benjamin, Mason, Khaleesi, Aria, Charlotte, Jasmyne, Devante, and as Jack would say, “3 more simmering”; siblings, Lena Fitzgerald, C. Warren, Jean Huff, Emily Poppell, Leonard, Carol Moyer, Ellen Solano, Althea Kern. He was predeceased by siblings Russell, Amandus, Theodore, Thomas, Rose, Marie, & Nancy.
