Jack was born on October 13, 1948 in Roseburg, Oregon. He is the son of Lois and John Nelson.
Jack taught for 28 years in the Gooding School District and was a beloved coach of cross-country, track, and basketball.
He is survived by: his wife – Kathy, and mother-in-law – Betty Butler. He is lovingly remembered by his children – Jon, Jared, Jenni, Amie, Kurtis, and Lara; as well as sisters – Jan Bainbridge and Karen Ivy; and brothers – Claude and Steve Nelson.
