Jack L. Fitzgerald, age 73 of rural Ashland, OH., passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence. On July 11, 1938 in Ashland, Mr. Fitzgerald was born to the late John and Esther (Hostler) Fitzgerald. He had been a resident of Ashland Co. most of his life. Mr. Fitzgerald retired as a plant manager for Liqui-Box in Sacramento, CA. He was a member of the Jeromesville American Legion #749, Am Vets Post #96, and the Ashland Moose Lodge #1383. He enjoyed Lake Erie fishing, golf, the Cleveland Browns Football Team, music, and being a DJ and Karaoke.
On August 12, 1989 Mr. Fitzgerald married Eva Back who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dianne Patton and fiancé Rick Sanders of KY.; one son, Jon (Dawn) Fitzgerald of FL.; grandchildren: Ryan Clark, Renee’ Rhodes, Robynn Dietrich, and Rusty Dietrich; great-grandchildren: Dana and Elliott Clark, Zane and Cannon Rhodes, and Jackson Dietrich; brothers: Larry Fitzgerald of Ashland, Doug Fitzgerald of Arizona, Loren Fitzgerald of PA. Terry Burt of Cleveland, OH.; and two sisters: Sallie Shank of Ashland and Judy Ishman of FL. Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patty Berry.
