Jack Lee Baker, age 66 of rural Ashland, OH., passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his residence. On November 10, 1944 in Ashland, OH., Mr. Baker was born to the late Clarence E. and Wilma E. (Fox) Baker. He had been a resident of Ashland Co. all of his life. Mr. Baker formerly was employed at Landoll’s, McGraw-Hill and had his own trucking business for 20 years along with farming. He was a member of the Stone Evangelical Lutheran Church, and enjoyed farming with his Oliver tractors, tractor shows, racing, and loved people in general.

On June 8, 1985, Mr. Baker married Alice L. Steigerwalt who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons: Tony (Kim) Baker of Cuyahoga Falls, OH., Jerry (Tess) Baker of Columbus, OH., and James (Brittnay) McFadden of Savannah, OH.; 3 daughters: Christie (Brian) Perkins of Mansfield, OH., Pepper (Aaron) Swartzentruber of Wooster, OH., and Kristy McFadden of Wooster, OH.; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Cindy (Gerry) Young of Ashland, OH.; and a brother, Ronald Baker of TN. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Eickhoff and a brother, Robert Baker.
