Jack “J.D.” Crafton, 92, of Bargersville, passed away, in Indianapolis, on Saturday, April 2, 2016. He was born on July 23, 1923 in Gallatin, Tennessee to Chess and Addie (Kelley) Crafton.

Jack was a truck driver for O.K. Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 135 and the Moose Lodge of Greenwood. He attended New Hope Chapel Church of Whiteland. Jack enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. J.D. and Doris were married in 1946 and were happily wed for 70 years.

He is survived by his children; Carol “Casey” (Charles) Mattox-Bade of Franklin, Jay Darren (Cindy Lou) Crafton of Indianapolis, four grandchildren; Travis and Brian Mattox, Jessica and Meghan Crafton, and two great grandchildren; Matthew and Alexandria Mattox.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife; Doris (Jones) Crafton, his parents, Chess and Addie Crafton, a brother, William A. Crafton, and three sisters; Maebelle Jenkins, Christine Hukill, and Catherine Davis.
