Jack Lee Hardy, 82, Bloomington, Indiana, went to be with the Lord after a brief illness, Sunday, October 28, 2018 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Jack was born August 12, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana, the son of the late Orville and Gladys (Pruett) Hardy.
Jack was a very devoted husband, dad and papaw and an avid golfer.
He was a member of South Union Christian Church and a member and Past Master of Elnora Masonic Lodge # 616 and he served in the United States Navy. He retired as manager of Indiana Memorial Union Stores at Indiana University.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Bechtel) Hardy; daughters, Cathy (Danny) Todd and Tana (Richard) Sorrells both of Bloomington, Indiana; grandchildren, Lindsey (Todd) Martin and Ryan Sorrells both of Bloomington, Indiana and great-grandchildren, Reid and Grant Martin.
Jack was preceded in death by daughter, Vickie Lee Hardy; great-granddaughter, Livia Martin; brothers, Robert, Dickie Keith, Fred and Paul Hardy; sisters, June Hardy, Georgianna Lagneaux, Helen Bunton and Alice Turner.
