Jack H. Patterson, 86, of Jacksonville, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Passavant Area Hospital.
He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Jacksonville, the son of Cecil H. and Beulah Summers Patterson. He married Joan Wolfe on Feb. 12, 1950, in Jacksonville, and she survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Bonnie Patterson (Gerry) Hacker of Conifer, CO; one son, Larry J. Patterson of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Colin Hacker and Megan Hacker, both of Conifer, CO; one brother, Robert “Chub” (Patsy) Patterson of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorothy Morthole (surviving husband, Edward of Jacksonville); and one brother, Raymond “Pat” Patterson (surviving wife, Pauline of Jacksonville).
Mr. Patterson was a 1947 graduate of Jacksonville High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. He had been a bricklayer for over 50 years. Jack was a sports enthusiast, and loved fishing, gardening and playing cards.
