Jack Patrick Derix, 54, of LaSalle, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his home following a long illness. Mr. Derix was born May 1, 1964 in Peru to Edward J. “Ducks” and Beverly Mae (Lucas) Derix. Jack worked at the LaSalle Veteran’s Home in maintenance and was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, enjoyed music and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his six brothers and sisters, Beverly (James) Eich of Peru and Patrice Swiskoski of LaSalle, Edward M. (Debbie) Derix of Spring Valley, Lana (Daniel) Vowels of LaSalle, Thomas J. Derix of Peru and Donald (Phyllis) Derix of Glen Ellyn; 16 nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Leticia Marquina of LaSalle. He was preceded in death by his parents.
