          Yorktown-Jack David “Butch” McKenzie, 78, passed away unexpectantly, April 19, 2011, at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of John Elvin and Stella (Gresham) McKenzie. 
          Mr. McKenzie is a 1950 graduate of Peru High school. He served in the U.S.
         Jack a.k.a. Action Jackson, was still very active in construction work and was an avid golfer, bowler, horse shoe pitcher and softball player. Mr. McKenzie was also a two time National Truck Driving Rodeo Champion for 1969 and 1970.
          His memberships include the American Legion Post#      ; he was is a former member of the Eagles Lodge and is still active in the National Horseshoe Pitching Association.
          Besides his wife of 25yrs Darlene, he is survived by, eight children, Debbie Ertle (husband-Wayne,Sandy Baxley,Alicia Green (husband-Bobby), Keno McKenzie (wife-Tiffany), Crystal Phillips (husband-Shawn), Phil Gregg (wife-Renee), Joey Gregg (Amanda Roseberry), Melissa Bromwell (husband-Mike);28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, John McKenzie, Muncie; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog Baby and numerous close friends.
          He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Elsie Holeman and Rose Molter and his daughter, Marilyn McKenzie.
