Jack D. Stevens, 88, of Clarks Hill, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth East.

He was born February 26, 1929, in Clinton County, IN, to the late Eldon and Eva Bowen Stevens.

Jack was a veteran of the Army serving from 1948 to 1952.  

On June 4, 1954, he married Edna Mae Cummins in Frankfort and she survives.

Jack was a self-employed farmer and truck driver for many years and is retired.

He was a member of Clarks Hill Christian Church since 1963 and served as a Deacon for 30 years. 

Jack enjoyed enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and had visited 47 states and 10 Canadian Provences.  He and Mae are members of Hoosier Cruisers and Family Motor Coach Association.  Jack also enjoyed Blue Grass Music Festivals in many states.

Surviving with his wife are his children Candy (Tom) Byers of Brookston, Lynn D Stevens of Darlington, grandchildren Dustin (Gretchen) Winger, Leslie (Brent) Hickman, great grandchildren Christina Mae and Conner Jack Winger, Levi Hickman and step grandson Chase Wisma-Linder

Also surviving are his sisters Maywood Winger of Mulberry, Mary Mason of OR and Sue Clark of Brazil.

Jack was preceded in death by his brother Adrian Stevens, sisters Joan Killian, Jean Cook and Nina Thayer, 1 niece and 3 nephews.
