Jack Carl DiGiuseppe of Portage Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away January 3, 2011 at Bronson Hospital at the age of 71. He was born September 23, 1939 in Detroit, MI to Carl and Mary Pardo DiGiuseppe. Jack is survived by this wife Jennifer Wallgren DiGiuseppe and their daughter CaliRose Marie. He also leaves his 2 sons, Mark DiGiuseppe and his wife Emanuela Ambrosino and their daughter Gaia DiGiuseppe, Italy; Jon DiGiuseppe and his daughter Angela Reese; great grandson, Jaedon; several cousins; and the mother of his sons, Ruth Wilcox of Willowbrook, IL. Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a reservist until he was honorably discharged and began a meteoric career in advertising that spanned the 1970’s through 1990’s.

Beginning as an Art Director at N.W. Ayer, Jack shifted to Associate Creative Director at Needham Harper & Steers before moving to J. Walter Thompson, Chicago where he rose to become Executive Creative Director, responsible for the creative product of one of the world’s most storied agencies. Over the years his imaginative work for clients including Mc Donald’s, Dr. Scholl, Golden Books, Kellogg, Quaker Oats and Kibble & Bits won numerous major creative awards including Clios and Cannes Lions.

After retiring, he continued his passion for art by focusing his creativity as a sculptor. His sculptures of powerful yet voluptuous females engaged in mythic struggles garnered him several private and public commissions, including The Heralding Angel at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Portage.
