JACK BURKE, 80, longtime Deming resident passed away Monday June 27, 2011 at his home..
He was born September 4, 1930 in Calexico, California to Maude Cooper and Jack Burke. Jack served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a fireman in Buena Park, California until his retirement.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Michael Burke of Albuquerque, Patrick Burke of Modesto, CA., Andrew Burke of Wagoner, OK.; daughter, Kristie Merrill of Pinon Hills, CA., and their spouses; his fiancé, Maria Rogers of Columbus and his extended family, Patricia Rogers of Kansas, Juan Rogers of Deming, Jamie and Rogelio Rogers both of Las Cruces and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
