James Patrick “J.P.” Mannix, age 80, of Palestine, Texas, peacefully passed away and joined our loving Lord in Heaven on Friday, the 18th day of November 2022.  Mr. Mannix was born in Palestine, Texas, on the 25th day of September 1942, to parents Will Mannix and Lura Mae Bishop Mannix.

Mr. Mannix was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He adored his family and made wonderful memories over the years that his family will carry with them forever.  His grandchildren held an extra special place in his heart.  He was their biggest supporter and attended all their school functions and sporting events. 

Mr. Mannix had an exceptional work ethic and believed in a full day’s work. He owned and operated his own business, J.P. Mannix Electric, and worked hard as a Master Electrician for 45 years.  Mr. Mannix had a gentle spirit and a heart of gold.  He will always be loved and the memories that were made will be cherished forever.   

He is preceded in death by his parents Will and Lura Mae Mannix and his sister-in-law, JoAnn Mannix.

Mr. Mannix will live in the hearts of his adoring family including his loving wife of sixty years, Glenda Mannix; daughter, Debbie Denson and husband John; sons, Randy Mannix and wife Angela, and Mike Mannix and wife Tammy; brother, Eddie Mannix; sister-in-law, Sue Hadley and husband Norville; grandchildren, Mandy Johnson, Ginger Morris and husband Justin, Jayci Mannix, and Kourtney Mannix.  He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Brandon Mannix, Abbie Mae Morris, and Tatum Kae Morris, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
