He was born May 8, 1931 in Carroll County, GA to the Guy Phillips and Beulah Hicks Phillips. J.C. is survived by his children, Sandra Harrison, Lynda Phillips, Mike Phillips; grandchildren, Michael Harrison, Jeremey Harrison, Adam Cox, Tabitha Ivey, Cambron Phillips and Chet Phillips. He was the last and the youngest of 9 children. He is also survived by a long list of extended family who will dearly miss him.
