Iva Iona Poling
Iva I. Poling 81 of Rowlesburg died Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Pine Ridge with her family by her side.
She was born May 1, 1936, in Rowlesburg, a daughter of the late Harrison W. Bowen and Molly Mae Jones.
She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. Iva worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Kingsford Charcoal Plant.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Poling, Howard J. Poling, Jr. and wife, Rebecca, Jerry Poling and wife, Lou, all of Rowlesburg and John Poling and wife, Virginia of Beverly; her daughters, Delorice Stemple and husband, Jimmy of Rowlesburg and Debra Carver and husband, Richard of Robbinsville, NC; her brother, Page Jones of Rowlesburg and her sisters, Lettie Belle Sypolt and husband, Carl and Rachel Stemple, all of Rowlesburg and Melvina Auvil and husband, Everett of Arthurdale; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren..
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Poling; her sisters, Goldie Savage and Lottie Burns, her brothers, Dutch, Earl and Bob Jones and her great-grandson in law, Justin Zink.
