Islea Mae Everman, 86, of Anderson, passed away on September 1, 2015 at the Edgewater Woods Nursing Home Anderson, IN.
She was born on March 9, 1929 in Anderson, Indiana. Islea graduated from Anderson High School, class of 1947 and Indiana Business College. She worked in the Finance Department at Fort Harrison for 11 years. She was a member of Post Polio Association. Despite her disability, she taught herself how to knit and crochet and took many night school classes including painting.
Islea is survived by her children, Daniel Everman and Susan Manis, grandchildren, Mandy (Tim) Johnson, Misty (Brandon) Clem, Derek Manis, Chad Manis, Sarah (Andrew) Saltsman, Steve (Adrienne) Everman, Joel (Shannon) Everman, David (Stephanie) Everman, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Bill Southard, cousin, Jackie Stuart.
She was preceded in death by mother, Edith (Dashler) Fadely, father, Paul D. Fadely, son, James D. Everman, twin sister, Nila Southard, siblings, Valencia Cook, Wayne Fadely and grandson Caleb Manis.
