Isidro Santana, born August 8, 1929 in the Canary Islands of Spain, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather has passed away to join his wife Thursday July 21, 2016.

Escaping the violent unrest and civil turmoil of the Spanish Civil War he was sent, a young teenager, to live in Cuba where he worked tirelessly and prospered bringing his family from Spain to live with him. Following the Cuban Revolution he migrated to America followed shortly by his family. A hard working immigrant and a contributing member of society he and his family were later naturalized and made citizens of this country in the mid 1990’s, along with his wife, Evangelina Santana. He was a kind, gentle, honorable and noble man, loved and revered by everyone and anyone privileged to know him. Since 1995 he has resided at 243 Smith St in
Providence where he made lasting friendships with his neighbors and loved ones. He is also survived by his daughter, Maria Rosa Lopez‐Carr and—in his heart—adopted daughter Delfina Abreu; his four grandchildren, Tracy Fitzpatrick‐Perlorca, Richard Gulla, Edward Carr, and Angel Reyes II; four great grandchildren, Alexandra and Madison Perlorca, and Chase and Kahlyn Gulla.
