Mrs. Isabelle M. Marquis, of Milford, died on March 11, 2007, in Milford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Delphis and Mary Emma Marquis. She was a teacher for many years in the Connecticut school system, teaching both French and Spanish, along with being a private tutor. She is survived by her beloved son, Dr. Mark Gaskill of Wilmington, NC, by her brothers Gerald Marquis of Northport, FL and Normand Marquis of Hartford, her sister Imelda Jaser and her husband John of Milford and many beloved nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. Isabelle had wit and humor and great love and compassion for her family and friends, especially enjoying the children. A real nature lover, she was also an avid reader and enjoyed music, traveling, gardening and pets. Her beautiful annual tropical gardens were a delight and brought joy to many. She will be missed!
