Mrs. Karbula is survived by her significant other, Paul Linton of Ashland; a daughter, Cindy Shaffer of Mansfield, OH.; one grandson; one great-grandson; and a sister, Elma (Karl) Maul of Grove City, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Karbula in 2001, two sisters: Doris Mabee and Mae Smith; and three brothers: Myrl, Billie, and Dale Frye.
