Avon: Irving Charles Lown, Jr., 90, of 101 Bickford Extension, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Rose (Bascetta) Lown. Born in Bridgeport, August 28, 1917, he was the son of the late Irving C. and Ethel (Simmons) Lown. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for the State of CT as the Superintendent at the Northwest Regional Center in Torrington.
