Iris E. Cowart, 85, of Lakeland, FL passed away on July 29, 2015. She was born May 16, 1930 to parents Dorman and Irene (Brennan) Hayes. She was born and raised in Sebring, FL. Later, she met and married Caleb Cowart. They lived many places while he was serving in the US Air Force. They moved back to Florida permanently after his retirement. At that time they opened an upholstery business and also raised blueberries.
Iris is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters Irma Schweke and Doris Lovering. She is survived by her children Sharon Duncan, Terri Reynolds and Steve Cowart; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many extended family members and friends.
