Irene Wright Irby, 74, Anderson, died July 10, 2004 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a sudden illness.
She was born September 3, 1929 in Allardt, TN, and resided in Anderson. She lived in this area most of her adult life. She was a waitress at the Anderson Hotel and at King’s Crown Inn for several years. She also worked for Nicholson File Company and she retired from the Indiana State Highway Department. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She was very dedicated to her church and was an adoring Grandmother. She also enjoyed being with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband Leon Clark Irby whom she married on August 15th, 1954 in Albany KY. One daughter: Kimberly and husband Nathan Zook of Mooresville. Three sisters: Ruth and husband Bill Romberg of Tullahoma, TN., Charlene Smith of Anderson, and Patricia and husband Robert Callis of Naples, FL. Three grandchildren: Madeline Zook, Margaux Zook, and Franklin Zook.
She was preceded by her parents: Carson and EdnaBlair Wright, a son Frankie Al Irby, and a brother Randall Wright
