Irene E. (Halm) Rimelspach, 93 of Fremont, Ohio passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Irene was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School. She worked as a school secretary at St. Ann’s School for 14 years. Irene volunteered for numerous community organizations and events.

Irene will be remembered by her family and friends as an extremely open hearted, passionately competitive and accepting person.

She enjoyed quilting beautiful blankets, playing cards and being by the water which included swimming any chance she got.

She was a strong and beautiful soul, and meant so much to her loved ones. Irene made everyone feel like family and taught those around her that devotion to family and faith were the keys to happiness (and winning at euchre certainly helped too).
Irene’s family is brought comfort knowing she is in heaven reunited with her loving husband Bill, talking, laughing and dancing to Glen Miller.

The Rimelspach family would like to thank and recognize the loving staff at Valley View and Promedica Hospice for the loving care of Irene.
